The mentor/mentee relationship lasts 6 months, with a commitment to meet at least monthly for 1 hour.

Would I receive training with my mentor/mentee?

Yes, mentors and mentees will be required to attend a virtual training/opening ceremony before the program begins. Only the Opening and Closing ceremony will be required where expectations about the program will be shared and feedback/ monthly survey will be send out to assess the progress of participants.

Can I end my relationship with my mentor/mentee?

Yes, if the pairing isn’t respectful, safe, or beneficial, the mentor or mentee should report the issue immediately to the NPG via email at

How are mentors/mentees selected and paired?

Mentors are leaders who are members of the NPG or allies who have indicated interest and have the time commitment to engage for 6 months. Mentees are NPG members who have expressed interest and have the time commitment to engage for 6 months. Both parties also commit to attending the NPG mentors opening and closing event for program participants. Based on areas of interest and expertise, members will be matched accordingly.
