I believe that it is important to support one another through valuable information sharing, lifting as we climb.

Kay is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, member of the Project Management Institute, an alumnus of Bentley University’s McCallum Graduate Business School, and currently a doctoral research fellow in strategic leadership also at Bentley University Massachusetts. He is a fellow of Partnership, Inc. and a graduate of the Mckinsey leadership academy program.
Kay has over 15 years of experience in leadership, International finance, Project management, Process improvement, Financial reporting and Cross-cultural team building in multiple industries including Consulting, Energy Services and Financial Services. He is currently at Liberty Mutual Insurance, the fifth largest personal insurance carrier in the US with over $24B in premium. Kay and his team are responsible for Expense reporting, Planning & Analysis and Expense management initiatives between the home office and local operations in 16 countries.

Aside from his professional commitments, Kay is very passionate about career development of African youths in diaspora, he champions diversity and inclusion and believes that there is the need to support each other through valuable information sharing, networking and mentoring opportunities which will foster growth and transformative collaboration. He was recently an honoree of Liberty Mutual Chairman/CEO DEI award for his outstanding leadership and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. Kay is motivated by his service to humanity, building a collaborative community and lifting as we climb.
Kay is a good listener, leader and a people person. He enjoys spending his free time watching movies, comedy shows, volleyball, traveling and spending time with family.

Kehinde Adelabu

Kehinde is a Data Engineer | Vertex Pharmaceuticals. He  is a founding member of the NPG and NPG  Strategy Committee and also  led  the creation of the NPG Bentley chapter while he was an MS student. He is also the current NPG VP of Finance, a position that he has executed with integrity and transparency.. Prior to joining the NPG board, Kehinde was the NSBE President at Allen University Chapter.  He is motivated by ’ having a clear goal, the right tools and team to get the job done’.

Candidate Statement: I believe  in the saying that ‘’ If you want to go fast, go alone but if you want to go far, go together’’. As a Nigerian Professional in diaspora, I believe that working together and supporting each other will help us to accomplish our goals as a community, therefore I will like to continue to leverage this platform to give back to the community, elevate and expand my network.

Olawumi Akinwumi

Olawumi Akinwumi- is an entrepreneur  and a part-Time Assistant Director of Community Engagement, Nuestra CDC. Olawumi Akinwumi (She\/Her) is also the Deputy Director of Programs at Arts Boston. Ola’s (Ola, Olasco) background is in event management and public relations. In addition, she has over ten years of experience in live entertainment and social media. Previously, Ola was the Director of Hibernian Hall at Madison Park Development Corporation for over five years. Through original quality theater productions and creative arts programming, she fostered the celebration of the cultural heritage of the Roxbury neighborhood. She has extensive expertise in non-profits, youth advocacy, and affordable housing. . Ola holds an MS in communications management from Simmons School of Management and a BS from New Hampshire. She began her education as a Tourism Planning and Development major. After graduation, she worked at the Sheraton Boston Hotel as an Executive Meeting Specialist and moved into several related positions that groomed her as an impresario.

Candidate Statement: My passion is in my mission to advocate and intercept the barriers of racial justice within the systematic systems to mentor future leaders in the diaspora to pursue high level positions in politics, community engagement, social entities and economics.

Fun Fact about Ola: Detail oriented and observant, a team player, Like equestrian activities such as horseback riding. Ola is motivated  as an individual  built off high energy with like minded peers who are action builders, problem solvers and connecting with new people’’.

Emem Obot

Emem is an ambitious and experienced Corporate lawyer by profession, with great communication, collaborative skills to foster relationship across the organization , Emem core values are hard work, dedication  and consistency, she also have a growth mindset and believe that learning is a lifelong journey which is why she recently completed a certificate in business management and currently studying  International business law at NorthEastern University in Boston.Emem is motivated by networking and connecting with leaders  in various field and being able to listen to their success stories, to dream and work harder,

Candidate Statement: My unique background as an attorney, passion, experience and enthusiasm has prepared me for this  position  as a good fit to serve  as secretary of the Nigerian professional group.

Idris Junaid

Idris is a highly motivated professional with a background in manufacturing and a passion for membership management and engagement. He  currently work as a manufacturing associate at Moderna, a leading biotech company, where I have gained valuable experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and effective communication. I have experience in managing membership databases and systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. Idris is motivated by a desire to make a positive impact: The role of Director of Membership provides a unique opportunity to make a positive impact within NPG and in the broader professional community.

Candidate Statement: Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of organizations to develop and implement successful membership initiatives, including recruitment and retention strategies, member engagement programs, and networking opportunities. In this role, I would work closely with other leaders in the organization to develop and execute a comprehensive membership plan that supports the professional development and success of our members. I would focus on building strong relationships with members, creating opportunities for networking and collaboration, and providing valuable resources and tools that support their career growth

Adesuwa Igbineweka

Adesuwa Igbineweka is currently the Director for Career Equity and Access, Suffolk University, her professional career paths have been in higher education and human services for the last 20 years. In the last few years her career focus has been on issues of equity and access for students with the goal of creating inclusive spaces and increasing access to those who have been historically excluded. Through professional development programs and networking events she  helps to increase the cultural and social capital of those engaged in the programs offered.

Adesuwa  also work as a career coach helping people become career ready for the jobs they desire. As the diversity, equity, and inclusion coordinator for the board of the Career Counselors Consortium Northeast, she  recently led her team to achieve a goal of creating a mentoring program.. In the last few years, she  also served on the City of Boston scholarship committee, reviewing applications and advancing finalists who are supported financially as they complete or begin their academic journey. She is motivated by the desire to see people thrive and excel in all areas of their life

Oluwatoni Omidiji

Oluwatoni is an entrepreneur/ Residential Councillor and VINFEN, a licensed insurance agent. He  is a graduate of Accountancy and Finance. He has cumulative experience in Baking, Banking, Entrepreneurship, Photography, Shipping logistics, Direct Care and Insurance, working out of two countries, Nigeria and United States of America. He is motivated by his ability to be a blessing to others.

Candidate Statement: I’m a result oriented and goal getter, bing part of NPG will provide me the platform to give back to the community and make a lasting impact.

Emmanuel Eshiett

Emmanuel is a scientist with a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from the university of Lagos Nigeria and a masters degree from the University of Arizona, Tucson. He  has experience in the biotech space, performing bio-functional assays to support mRNA vaccine development and currently I support Sanofi’s biologics team with profiling antibody therapeutic molecules to assess which could be eligible for clinical trials. His  work as a scientist has instilled in him some character traits that have been instrumental to his career development; being extremely detail oriented and being able to persevere. He is  100% to everything he is  involved with and love to be a voice of reason in any space that he is  opportuned to grace.

Emmanuel is motivated by People and the “idea of being more”. I often look up to people who have walked a path before me and the fact that it could be done by someone means it is 100% possible for me to do even more.

Candidate Statement: In line with the mission of the Nigerian professional group, my mission is to join hands with other board members in ensuring Nigerians in the diaspora unlock their full potential and become everything they are supposed to be and more. We are a country with the most amazing talents and helping those in the diaspora maximize potential in their different fields is a goal I’m willing to work with the NPG team on.

Azu Eleonu

Azu is a dedicated Computer Scientist and IT Professional passionate about computer science, team building and event planning. He has  experience serving government groups in a leadership role throughout college and graduate school in the marketing, social media, and IT sector. He  currently work as a Data Engineer for Boston Children’s Hospital and has 5+ years of software development and IT Management techniques.  Azu served as an IT and Social Media Manager for the Graduate Student Association at Bentley University as well as the Boston University College of General Studies student Government and the Class Gift Board. Azu  has volunteered for and attended NPG networking, gala, and guest speaker events for the last three years, and he  would love to use his  skills and experience to help take NPG’s media platforms and presence to the next level.

Azu is motivated by striving to solve complex problems and making complicated concepts understandable to the average person. What also motivates me is bringing people together for a good cause or helping them achieve their personal goals in life, because being able to help someone helps me become a better person.

Adedire Adesiji

Adedire is a first class graduate of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ilorin and currently Doctoral Research Fellow at Boston University. He has an  extensive leadership and volunteering experience, including serving as Editor-In-Chief & Publicity Chair for student organization’s. He has  a proven track record of coordinating and delivering successful projects, as well as fostering positive relationships with stakeholders, these skills make him  a strong candidate for any position that requires strategic thinking, project management, and effective communication. Adedire was a volunter during  the 2022 NPG Gala & Awards

 Adedire is motivated by making a positive impact in the world through his work and volunteer efforts. He’s very  passionate about learning and always seeking new opportunities to expand his  knowledge and skills. By pursuing his goals, he hopes to inspire others to create a better future for all.

Ladi Olaoye

Ladi is the past president of National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Boston Professionals, and current member of the organization’s executive board. He is a Project Manager and works in the Tech industry. He has more than ten years of work experience leading projects in Healthcare, IT, Hospitality, and Non-profit services. Ladi is passionate about community building and everything that leads to the advancement of Nigerians students & professionals in the diaspora.

Tosin Oni

Tosin is a multifaceted Entrepreneur located in Boston, MA. He is the Co-founder of Onine EDU a Travel and Educational Consulting Agency, CEO of Onine Global Marketing a Marketing, Branding, and Design Agency and Co-founder of OwnIT NG an online tech retail company that focuses on making personal gadgets accessible to everyone by access to no-hassle financing service in Nigeria. He is also very active in the community organizing and participating in several events and causes to push social justice, improve the lives of people in the black community, fight racism and alleviate poverty.

Dola Odusoga

Solutions-focused and analytical professional with broad knowledge in analyzing data to support strategic business decisions. Adept at leading cross functional data teams and projects. Proven capability in connecting the dots between data, products and client satisfaction.
